Hi Everyone,

for those of you reading this commentary, this is my first ever blog post - and it’s on my own blog.  Some of you may say, “that is not so unusual” and others might say “where have you been for the last few years?”.  What I did want to say today was a little bit about my journey to this day and what it may mean for some other people in a similar position.

I have only have a recent (serious) interest in Internet Marketing and the seriousness came about because of my need to move forward in life continuing with the freedom I now have but being able to greatly increase my revenue base.

I have always had an Entrepreneurial spirit.  I am now self-employed with a home-based business, a strong interest in Real Estate (investing/developing), and a burning desire to develop multiple streams of income that will support my family in the years to come!  After investigating several other ways whereby I could develop another stream of income, I recently concluded that Internet Marketing (for Me) would be the most viable way to develop the next income stream.  Why? You might say!  Well, you have to realise this will differ with each person out there but I hope I can explain “my why”.

Let me start by saying, I knew next to nothing about Internet Marketing up until about 6 weeks ago.  I had a very basic understanding, I was on a few peoples’ lists for this and that, but that was it really.  I did however keep hearing that it was a great way to make money while you sleep, and that you could get started with a relatively low-cost base.

I attended the World Internet Summit forum in Sydney during March 2008 and for me, the Presenter that pressed the right buttons was Tim Brocklehurst.  The reason for this was what Tim offered - a powerful Internet Marketing “business in a box” package.  However, as I have now found, it is much more than that.  Tim help me unpack the box, install it, set it up and get it running before he was happy about letting me run with my new venture.

This aspect was very important to me because I must admit to having a few “less than impressive” ventures over the last few years that promised certain things but they left you high and dry.  If you are an Entrepreneur,  I’m sure you’ve been down the same path(s)!  However, this time, it’s different!

What I have learnt over the last 3 days is that in Internet Marketing, it’s not just about a web site, or a product, or a list of email addresses, instead - it’s all of these and then knowing how to communicate with the Internet Community as a whole that makes your business successful.  The backbone of Tim’s teaching and my Internet Marketing business is software called My Viral Spiral and it uses the principles of Viral Marketing linked to the backend of your website.
